Computer and laptop repairs
Is your computer suddenly running very slowly, is your laptop no longer booting up, or are you constantly getting error messages? SendaDesign helps private individuals to diagnose and fix problems with computers and laptops.
These can range from software issues and Windows errors to faulty hardware, overheating, slow systems or devices that no longer boot up properly. The first step is to identify where the problem lies and what solution is still viable. This way, you’ll know whether a repair, upgrade or replacement is the best option.
Even if you didn’t buy the device from me, you’re welcome to bring it in for diagnosis and repair.
Sales and personalised advice
Choosing a new computer or laptop doesn’t have to start with a list of devices at fixed prices. At SendaDesign, I prefer to start by looking at your situation: what do you want to use the device for and what budget have you set aside for it?
Based on that, I’ll work out which configuration best suits your needs. That way, you won’t end up with an unnecessarily expensive device with features you’ll never use, nor will you end up with a computer that proves too limited after only a short time.
With PCs, this may mean that the machine is built entirely to specification. With laptops, I look for the model that offers the best balance of performance, quality and ease of use within the available budget.
Whether you mainly browse the web, check your emails and do administrative tasks, edit photos, play games or use more demanding applications: the aim remains the same — to put together or select the device that best suits your needs, within your budget.
If you wish, I can deliver the computer fully set up and ready to use, including installation, updates, basic software and the transfer of data from your old computer.

Improvements and maintenance
A computer that is slowing down does not necessarily need to be replaced straight away. In many cases, a targeted improvement or upgrade can significantly extend the lifespan of a device and make everyday use much more enjoyable again.
I’ll assess which upgrades would be beneficial for your computer or laptop. This could include, for example, installing a faster SSD, adding more RAM, replacing worn-out parts, or optimising Windows and any installed software.
Regular maintenance can also help to prevent problems. This includes checking for updates, storage space, security and the general functioning of the system. This will keep your device more stable, faster and usable for longer.
Dust and dirt can also have a significant impact on a computer’s cooling system. Regular cleaning of fans, coolers and air intakes helps to keep temperatures under control and prevents components from overheating unnecessarily.
Where an upgrade offers little added value, I will make that clear. The aim is not to replace as many parts as possible, but to assess which solution still makes sense for your device, both technically and financially.
Security
Nowadays, effective computer security goes beyond simply installing an antivirus programme. Phishing, ransomware, malicious websites, stolen passwords and other digital threats are part and parcel of everyday internet use.
SendaDesign helps private individuals to better protect their computers and personal data. In doing so, I look not only at the security software itself, but also at ensuring the correct settings, updates, backups and the safe use of your device.
For those who prefer a structured approach to security, I also offer managed IT security through my Security Plans. This ensures that the security measures are correctly installed and configured, and that it is clearly agreed in advance which tasks are carried out automatically and which I will handle myself.
A security solution never offers absolute security, but a properly configured and monitored system significantly reduces the risk and means you don’t have to figure it all out for yourself.

Back-up and data
Photos, documents and other personal files are often difficult or even impossible to replace if something goes wrong. Yet backups are often only recognised as important once data has already been lost.
SendaDesign helps private individuals set up a simple and reliable backup solution that suits their device and the type of data they wish to store. This can be done locally on an external drive, or via a suitable cloud solution, or a combination of both.
I can also help you transfer files when you start using a new computer or laptop. This way, documents, photos and other important data can be transferred safely without you having to figure it all out yourself.
Where necessary, you can also look at ways to better protect your data against faulty hardware, human error or ransomware. The aim is always the same: to ensure that important files are not lost should something unexpected happen.
Network & IT Support
A computer problem isn’t always an isolated issue. Sometimes the Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly, the internet connection drops out, a printer won’t connect, or you can’t get different devices to work together properly.
SendaDesign helps private individuals to resolve issues with home networks, Wi-Fi, printers and other peripheral devices. In doing so, I look not only at the device itself, but also at the connections and settings surrounding it.
You can also contact me for smaller IT queries. These might include installing software, setting up a new device, connecting a printer, resolving synchronisation issues, or reconfiguring a computer correctly following a change.
Not every problem requires major intervention. Often, a targeted check or adjustment is enough to get everything running smoothly again. The aim is always for your devices to work together reliably and for you to have as little hassle as possible.
Whether it’s a computer, a network, security or data: the most important thing is that you know who to turn to when something isn’t working as expected. I offer a single point of contact for a range of IT queries, with advice and support tailored to your situation.
